The Art of Rest offers one-on-one guidance focusing on sleep health, dreamwork, and mindfulness & self-compassion. Through our sessions, we will work together to support you in your journey, no matter where you’re starting from. 

 

The Art of Rest also facilitates group trainings on any of these topics in workspaces, or for personal groups of friends.

Meet Your Guide

Hi, I’m Dagny—

As a long-time backcountry guide, I regard our work as a co-created adventure. I’ll meet you where you currently are and together we’ll embark on a journey toward your desired destination. I approach guidance work with a sense of curiosity, a focus on iterative learning or “tiny experiments,” and an emphasis on compassionate rest. 

 

I believe in accessibility of services. If my prices are outside of your comfortable range and you have a genuine desire to work together, please don’t hesitate to reach out to talk about other options. If you have more questions you can learn about me here.

Sleep Health

In order to show up to ourlives full of creativity, vigor, and passion—we must be well rested to make that process sustainable. Whether you're a healthy sleeper looking to tune- up your self-care or someone struggling with chronic sleep issues looking for compassionate support, we will work together to co-create a restful roadmap.

Dreamwork

Some of the world's most important discoveries came directly from the dreamworld. Part of healthy sleep, and a creative life is a robust relationship to tending our dreams. Together, we will explore your inner landscapes from a place of agency and curiosity.

Mindfulness & Self-Compassion Coaching

When are mindful about our lives—and make decisions from a place of compassion for ourselves and others—we are more able to rest in our own unique artistry. Regardless of your specific goals, mindfulness and self-compassion are invaluable tools to cultivate. Together, we will foster or revivify a personal practice of mindfulness and self-compassion that work for you in your current chapter of life. 

Group Work and Professional Consulting

Do you have a group or community that wants to cultivate a more intentional relationship to The Art of Rest?

 

As a guide, I have worked with groups of various sizes. If you are looking for facilitation for a work group, small group of friends, or you’re interested in learning how to incorporate mindfulness or another topic into your own business practices, please reach out! The Art of Rest splits our time seasonally but is lovingly operated on historical lands of present day Shoshone-Bannock & Nez Perce in the summers and traditional lands of the Salish, Kootenai, and Kalispel peoples, in the winter.
