When you live your life creatively,
the art takes care of the rest.

WHAT IS THE ART OF REST?

Modern life asks more of our nervous systems than they were designed to give. The Art of Rest is a creativity-informed approach to nervous system care, blending science, creative practice, and experiential learning to help you build sustainable rhythms of rest, creativity, and engagement.

Rest isn't a reward.
It's a practice.
And it can be reclaimed

The Art of Rest provides evidence-based psychoeducation and creative practices that help organizations and individuals understand how their nervous systems function under stress, rest, and change.

Through experiential long-term team building, community-centered workshops, and one-on-one work, The Art of Rest offers clear, practical tools for building sustainable rhythms of rest, creativity, and engagement—without disconnecting from the real demands of life.

I initially brought Dagny in after recognizing the strain our team was carrying nearly a year after Hurricane Helene’s devastating impacts on WNC. What stood out to me immediately was Dagny’s ability to meet our reality with both compassion and skill. As our team’s needs shifted over time, she adapted alongside us, adjusting her approach in thoughtful ways that always felt responsive to where people actually were.

LET'S PURSUE THE ART OF REST, TOGETHER

Clients and participants gain a deeper sense of agency, clarity, and resilience. They learn to recognize what supports or depletes their nervous system, make more sustainable choices, and approach challenges with greater ease and confidence. Over time, they experience improved rest, renewed creativity, stronger connections, and the capacity to pursue meaningful work without chronic burnout as their baseline.
